You can be the wellness professional that prevents or solves a myriad of pregnancy and postpartum challenges for your clients. More than ever before, women are seeking professionals and programs that help them solve challenges that occur during and after pregnancy. This course gives you the confidence and ability to address these challenges so that you can give freedom and ease back to the life of a new mom.
Fit For Birth has teamed up with The Bloom Method to deliver a course that is truly unlike any other. The Pre & Post Natal Diastasis and Core Consultant™ course is created specifically for fitness and wellness practitioners. You can be the saving grace for many women, and in turn their families, who have suffered unnecessarily due to challenges like diastasis recti, pelvic girdle pain, symphysis pubis dysfunction, piriformis syndrome, herniation, and sacroiliac joint dysfunction. You will also know exactly what protocols to use to rehabilitate from C-section and episiotomy.
Diastasis recti affects about two-thirds of pregnant women, and various programs around the world have risen to address the problem: Tupler Technique®, MUTU System, Birth2FitMum, The Tummy Team, and more. A Fit For Birth professional must understand them all. The Pre & Post Natal Diastasis and Core Consultant™ course empowers you to understand the conflicting science and exercises for solving diastasis, so that you can empower your clients to the fastest success. You get to choose the methods that work best for your clients, in many cases giving women back their lives, and making an incredible living doing it.
Now you can be the definitive resource for these women.
I would definitely recommend this course. As someone who has a large DR myself, I have been searching for answers for a long time as to how to actually heal. There is very little information out there and even programs like the Tupler Technique don’t work for everyone because each individual person is different. I look forward to a world with more individuals certified in healing DR because it is obvious that there are many people out there looking for answers.
I feel so empowered after taking the course – before taking it, the little research about DR that I could find basically consisted of a long list of things not to do (push ups, planks, don’t even sit up normally when you get out of bed).
I feel a really strong connection to my core right now and that is something I haven’t felt since my daughter was born a year and a half ago, so thank you again!! I am sure that there are so many people out there that will benefit from this course as much as I did. Thank you for recognizing the need to educate people about this and for putting this course together!
The course exceeded my expectations. I learned so much and loved that we had the opportunity to work with real postpartum ladies to practice our assessments.
I loved having the physical therapist come and do a live evaluation with us. It was really helpful to hear all the things she looks at when evaluating a patient, including alignment, posture, how they stand, etc. There are so many factors that can play into creating/healing a DR and I like that she brought up alignment/posture since that isn’t always something people think of. Also, having a visual of what the DR surgery looks like was really powerful. It shows what a major surgery it is and it’s easy to see how one could take months to fully recover from it.
Brooke is known for her strong desire to empower women through movement before, during & after their pregnancies. Her passion for empowering pregnant women through body awareness and movement techniques has earned her an international following from both perinatal women who are seeking her services and fitness professionals who desire to be trained in her methods. Her work with prenatal and postpartum women is pushing the fitness industry’s boundaries, and leading the way for the expansion that is so desperately needed. Brooke is excited to share her knowledge and experience as she joins with Fit For Birth for this special course on Diastasis Recti!
I loved James’ and Brooke’s energy and passion for this course. I have left with a new set of tools to help women prevent (or heal) diastasis recti, and other core challenges.
I loved learning about everything, from the linea alba, to reading about what so many postpartum women are going through, to the different methods/techniques, to assessing and rehabbing the core with proper breathing patterns to get stronger.
The most interesting part for me was learning about the Notable 9 Perinatal Core Challenges. This is because a lot of these challenges affect more people than just the pregnant population. The great thing about this course, that yes, it focuses on perinatal women, but a lot of these solutions can help men and women with lower back pain, hip pain, sciatica, and general tightnesses in the area.
I would definitely recommend this course to other fitness professionals. It is comprehensive and you leave confident that you can assist future moms.
This course exceeded my expectations.
What I found to be especially profound was emphasizing the importance of a properly functioning inner unit in its entirety. We learned that many other postpartum issues (pelvic floor incontinence, prolapse, hernia, hip pain, back pain) are the result of a dysfunctional inner unit. We learned how to assess and address these issues to bring relief and healing to the new mother.
I also found it interesting that the degree of abdominal separation isn’t as big an issue as the woman knowing how to properly use her inner unit and control her intra-abdominal pressure. I was also amazed to find that the linea alba is made of more collagen fibers than elastin. Meaning it’s more of a supportive unit than I originally understood.
I would absolutely recommend this course! I think this information is needed in order to stop the cycle of postnatal symptoms from DR. In addition, learning how to properly train the core empowers women to not be afraid to continue the exercises she loves because she has the tools to do them safely and effectively.
I learned more than I thought I would, and I especially loved how deeply the course went into the anatomy of the inner unit.
I enjoyed how Brooke and James each brought a different perspective/personality to the course. I also enjoyed hear from a Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist as well for another point of view.
The whole course was fascinating! It was so incredibly thorough and comprehensive. There’s so much excellent material to continue to study.
I found the most interesting part of the course to be the juxtaposition of the severity of the struggle with the solutions from the corrective exercise/fitness and physical therapy worlds that is working to help change this health and fitness epidemic…Overall, the power of presenting effective, compassionate solutions in the face of such a dire women’s health/fitness epidemic. I feel called more to postpartum work and finding the women who have “fallen through the cracks”, especially years later.
The heart-wrenching testimonials of women struggling with diastasis recti and its various complications were difficult to witness but served as information and inspiration to take more effective action.
We were given a solid foundation of many corrective exercise tools and approaches to address specific issues and challenges. The systematic progression of the breath work exercises to bring awareness and correction to the pelvic floor, diaphragm, and TVA were incredible along with the clear understanding of the importance of working with both the inner and outer core units.
It was awesome to have postnatal mothers as guests as well as the physical therapist. The mini breaks with breath work, visualization, and gentle movement really helped me to stay balanced and keep up with the pace and length of the workshop. I came away feeling better equipped and more confident to support my clients and create more effective outreach for bringing in new clients. Sharing business strategies and practices was also very helpful.
I would definitely recommend this course to others! It gave me a sense of community and camaraderie with other like-minded fitness professionals, which is very uplifting.
