NATASHA HOLMES
Natasha Holmes is a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach in Trumbull, Connecticut. Since completing the Pre & Post Natal Corrective Exercise Specialist (PPCES) course, Natasha launched FitbyTash.com with the mission “To provide busy professionals and stay-at-home moms with the most effective tools to live your strongest, healthiest and happiest life.”
“The majority of my training clients are female and between the ages 25 and 50,” says Natasha, “so it was essential I have a solid background in how the body changes throughout pregnancy, how to effectively strengthen it, and to feel good about your body post-baby.” Natasha says, “Most of my clients are busy moms or career women or both, and it’s a challenge to fit in any form of exercise. The holistic approach of the course and its emphasis on functional training and proper breathing provides clients with exercises and movement patterns that are easily transferable into the real world which improves quality of life.”
She trains clients both one-on-one and in small groups at the gym, in-home and in-office. She also offers custom online training and nutritional programs, “which is great for individuals who either travel often, want a more affordable training option, or want to exercise intelligently on their own and see results.”
Natasha’s Facebook page displays inspiring and healthy nutrition ensembles like “Avocado pesto and zucchini noodles with salad” along with recipes to help move her followers toward healthier options. She aims to “take out all the guesswork” for her clients. “I earned my Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certification so I can tie nutrition into my clients’ programs and get them into the best shape of their life.”
Since completing the PPCES, Natasha has also gained multiple pregnant clients and says, “it has been rewarding to have the opportunity to apply everything I learned.” One of Natasha’s clients, Ashlee, who has been training for most of her pregnancy shares: “When I started working with Natasha I wanted to get stronger to be able to tote my son and baby-on-the way around. Now that we’ve been working together for the better part of my pregnancy, I find that just at the time that I would start feeling weak and tired, I instead feel stronger and more capable than I did before I was pregnant!” -Ashlee Grieb, 33 weeks pregnant.
Natasha’s goal is continuing to “empower as many women as possible get into the best shape of their life and maximize their potential. This means growing my blog to share the most effective methods for living your strongest, healthiest and happiest life. I want to build an online community of women around the world who follow my customized online training programs and/or ‘off the shelf’ workout guides.”
“I am a lifelong student of health and fitness. I have a natural curiosity to learn more and am continually investing in seminars, audio courses, books and certifications.” She adds, “In the next 10 years I also plan to be a mom. This course left me feeling prepared and confident that I can train myself during pregnancy in the best way possible and get back into shape post-baby.”
